Betway Premiership action continues this evening with four matches on the card. Orlando Pirates will look to cement their spot at the summit of the standings when they take on Sekhukhune United, while Durban City and Kruger United will be looking for their first respective wins for the season.
Here is our preview and predictions as well as current odds on Lucky Fish.
Kruger United vs Durban City
Kruger United 23/10 | Draw 16/10 | Durban City 14/10
Kruger have home advantage and, despite some inconsistency, look slightly more reliable in this matchup. Durban City's recent results make me hesitant to back them outright, though Khalil Ben Youssef is under pressure after an underwhelming start. I'd expect a fairly cautious game. I lean Kruger United or draw.
Marumo Gallants vs TS Galaxy
Marumo Gallants 31/20 | Draw 31/20 | TS Galaxy 21/10
This feels like the most balanced fixture. I don't see a huge difference between the sides, so I would avoid a strong outright-win call. Gallants are sitting rock bottom after back-to-back losses.
Galaxy get a slight edge from me, but the draw is very live. Galaxy showed character in their 3-2 loss against Sundowns and managed a draw against Golden Arrows.
Orlando Pirates vs Sekhukhune United
Orlando Pirates 7/20 | Draw 3/1 | Sekhukhune United 17/2
Sekhukhune have started the season very well, including two wins from three league matches. They will be looking to avoid another loss to the Ghosts, having suffered a 1-0 defeat in the MTN8 on Saturday.
Pirates at home have enough quality to control the match and create more chances. It remains to be seen who will replace the recently departed Patrick Maswanganyi. Back this match to end in favour of Pirates.
Siwelele FC vs Chippa United
Siwelele FC 9/10 | Draw 18/10 | Chippa United 34/10
I expect a relatively tight match. Siwelele have home advantage, and I think that could be important against a Chippa side that hasn't shown enough consistency for me to trust them away from home.
On paper, Chippa is a better team, having managed two draws and one loss, while the home team has suffered two losses and salvaged one draw. This is a game that both sides will be determined to turn the tide. Siwelele enjoys great backing at home; at the same time, the Chilli Boys have been displaying good performance away from home. A draw is a safe bet for this showing.
