De Melo leads the Top Jockeys Table

Keagan de Melo remains at the top of the standings following a busy season of racing which has seen him record 28 wins, 13 second-place finishes and 11 third-place finishes. De Melo has three upcoming races on Wednesday, and he will be eager to provide another top performance to retain his top spot and avoid being overtaken by Kabelo Matsunyane, who is sitting second.

Competition mounts in the top trainers' leaderboard

With just three wins separating the top three leading contenders, the battle for the R1 million prize awarded to the champion trainer is reaching a thrilling climax. Justin Snaith currently occupies the top spot in the standings after producing 19 winners, but his position at the summit is far from secure.

Hot on his heels are Alan Greeff and Tony Peter, both just three wins away from drawing level with Snaith and potentially seizing control of the championship. With the margin so narrow, every winner could prove crucial in determining who ultimately claims the coveted title and the lucrative R1 million prize.

Mauritian ‘raider’ leads the Apprentice Standings

Anaas Mosaheb has seized control of the apprentice standings, overtaking Dezahn Louw after picking up his 10th win of the season.

Damyan Pillay has climbed into third in the standings with five wins to his name. He moves up at the expense of Blaine Marx-Jacobson.

Of course, Mosaheb’s narrow lead means the race for the R100,000 prize remains far from decided. The margins between the leading apprentices are relatively small, meaning a handful of strong performances, or a couple of disappointing results, could dramatically alter the standings.
